May 2022

VettaFi was born as a collective brand, bringing together the expert teams from ETF Trends, ETF Database, Alerian, and  S-Network Global Indexes.

Our name, VettaFi, combines “Vetta” (Sanskrit for “one who knows”) with “Fi” (Finance).

We constantly vet the industry landscape, providing the collective wisdom our clients need to drive growth and deliver positive outcomes.

October 2022

Acquired Advisor Perspectives, a leading interactive publisher.

January 2023

TMX Group acquired ~21% common equity of VettaFi for US$175M.

April 2023

Acquired the ROBO Global index suite and SigmaLogic, Inc., the operator of LOGICLY.

September 2023

Acquired EQM Indexes, LLC, an index shop specializing in thematics.

January 2024

TMX Group completes the full acquisition of VettaFi to increase the depth and value of data-driven insights provided to clients.
